I first sketched this seahorse in 2007 at a humane society convention in Calgary. We had some down time, and the coffee was not that great, so instead of taking a coffee break in the afternoon I doodled this sweet little girl up! I really love the flowing lines in this, it's something I'm experimenting in and I have a snowbird/firebird pair that are in the same feel that I've been working on in the past while too. I think this flavor of Celtic is really organic and emotive, it reminds me a lot of the early La Tene style or what Art Nouveau took from La Tene.
