Antique Celtic Lions
This painting is from a small portion of folio 33r in the Book of Kells. I tried to keep much of the same coloring and design, with the roaring lions and delicate knotwork in the center. The dark umber and russet colors with the gold give it a very antique feel and I love how it turned out.
This is the matching piece to Antique Celtic Birds.
