Copyright

All images on the Aon Celtic Art website are copyright Cari Buziak. This includes all the images in the Gallery, free and paid downloads, the text/graphics in the tutorials, and all other artwork found on the website or any other online marketplace used by the artist Cari Buziak, or under the trade name of Aon Celtic Art.

Some designs (like the clipart and stencil designs, for example) are available for commercial use under the terms outlined with the product listing.

Usage without permission constitutes copyright infringement, and is punishable by law.

Many people think that because Celtic art is an old art form, all Celtic images must be copyright free. This is NOT true! Each image created by an artist is under copyright protection from the moment of creation until many years after their death. Celtic artists still exist, and this is a modern day art form, creating artwork using traditional styles and techniques.

There is a persistent copyright myth that if someone “changes an image by 15%” (or whatever amount they quote), that the resulting artwork is okay to use. This is NOT true! Under copyright law, what has been created is called a ‘derivative copy’. No changes or alterations may be made to any copyrighted work without the creator’s permission.

If you're not sure whether the usage you have in mind is okay or not, just ask!

Thank you for helping keep Celtic art alive as a modern day art form, and for your support of my work & website.

*hugs*
