MacLaren McCann West / The Anvil Awards
In 2003 I was approached by MacLaren McCann West about creating custom illustrations for the annual Anvil Awards advertising awards booklet for the 2003 Ad Rodeo.
The illustrations decorated each page of the booklet to create an illuminated manuscript feel for the year 2003 theme of 'The Religion of Advertising'. Each section was highlighted with a custom Celtic 'carpet page', with small Celtic TV, radio, and print icons, along with additional judging and Macintosh carpet pages, and also smaller spot illustrations for banners, headers, and general decorations. The booklet also features the Aon Celtic font, and the Aon Manuscript font.
