Fuchsia Dragon
I just love working with traditional materials, even if they're hard to source. This piece was created using "japanese leaf", which I found at my local art store. Basically it's a kind of metal leaf that is then anodized to create different colors. It's used much the same way as gold and silver leaf are, except that it's a little more finicky and delicate I find.
The surface is a sheet of real parchment, which was a dream to work on!
