Manannan's Wheel

A spiral rundle pattern for Manannan, Celtic god of the sea! The colors are all sea toned, with shapes inside to echo seashells and waves. The light dots give an effect like bubbles or sea spray as the waves roll and toss along their pattern. I really like the layered effect of this piece. Usually in traditional Celtic art you see everything on a single layer, just divided up into sections or panels of design. In this one I have the background rings creating a whirlpool effect in the centre, which I really like, and really adds to the spiral effect I think.
