DragonFly

I had a fascination with dragonflies during the period when I did this painting - I was seeing them everywhere! I just had to use them in a painting somehow. Being a fan of dragons as well, I got to thinking about what a dragon-dragonfly hybrid would look like. He'd be small, colorful, and awful cute! And so DragonFly was born. The Celtic maiden on a riverbank tempting the wee dragonfly to land, with lots of knots to frame them!
