Celtic Harts Crest
This was the official crest for the Celtic Harts Society, which was a Celtic society I started a ran for a few years back in the 90's. I had a heck of a time finding a Celtic stag in my reference books covering ancient Celtic metalworks and manuscripts.
After figuring out the common characteristics among the few I found, I made my own "leaping stag", which I think comes closest to the style of the Kells stag I found. Of course, the stag had to have "seven tines" as per proper Celtic mythology!
