Irish greeting cards featuring my painting "Golden Lions of Lugh".
Some lovely Celtic lions for all those feline fans out there! :-) These big cats are made in sunny golds and russet reds, with blue accents to represent the sun in the heavens. The wheel or circular disk symbol has been used by many of the ancient races, including the Celts, to represent the sun, and lions are often used to represent nobility or divinity. So in this painting we have the lions of the sun god Lugh, who appears in many Celtic myths and legends.
